Dorri Kannell grew up in Florham Park, New Jersey, where she graduated from Hanover Park High School. She was thrilled to follow in her family footsteps by attending Penn State University where she earned a degree in Biobehavioral Health. Her studies were forward-thinking focused on how factors like psychology, biology, culture, and environment impact human behavior and decision-making. During her undergraduate years, Dorri studied abroad in Barcelona, Spain, where she developed a passion for understanding people from diverse backgrounds, an interest that now fuels her approach to customer-centered marketing.
After college, Dorri began working at Pediatric Ophthalmic Consultants, where she quickly moved up the ranks from medical technician to medical scribe, and then to surgical coordinator. Each step of the way, she gained critical communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills. In her role as surgical coordinator, she discovered a strong interest in the "marketing" side of healthcare: building trust, guiding families through complex processes, and delivering clear, empathetic communication at every touchpoint. She treated every interaction as a brand moment to help the patients, which was something she realized was the foundation of great customer experience and loyalty.
This experience led Dorri to pursue a Master’s degree in Digital Marketing at Wake Forest University's School of Professional Studies. She’s excited to bring her experience into the fast-evolving world of digital marketing, with a focus on customer experience, content strategy, and data-informed decision making. Dorri is proficient at using tools for developing the marketing funnel, UX (user experience), journey mapping, market trend research, consumer analysis, Google Analytics, and KPIs. Dorri is eager to be part of the future of marketing.
